Now the second stone falls... After the successful “Dolomite Domino I” two years ago, the Museum of the City of Lienz Schloss Bruck, in collaboration with the Gaudens Pedit Gallery, is showing proponents of the contemporary art scene, whose common link is their homeland around the formative mountain range of the Dolomites is - this time from a female perspective...
The aim of the series is to document, in biennial exhibitions and accompanying publications, those visual artists of supra-regional importance who come from East Tyrol or the South Tyrolean Dolomite region or who are connected to this area through formative periods of their lives.
The exhibition "DolomitenDomino 2" will take place in the west wing of the Museum Schloss Bruck parallel to "TOTENTANZ Egger-Lienz and the War" (in the main rooms of the museum). This gives the visitor the opportunity to see important current female positions in the region in the field of tension with the most important East Tyrolean painter in terms of art history, Albin Egger-Lienz.
