2005: SIDE-SEEING - Michael Kos & Max Seibald

03.07. – 02.10.2005

Sculpture / Object / Installation

SIDE-SEEING: The title operates with a linguistic inflection that refers to the situation of Schloss Bruck as a popular tourist destination and to this exhibition as a "side" program.

However, behind SIDE-SEEING there is a specific, artistic perspective, the focus on the "beside", on that section of the world that only comes into view through artistic observation.

In the summer of 2005, SIDE-SEEING forms the contemporary counterpoint to the ongoing museum program at Schloss Bruck.

Michael Kos and Max Seibald belong to a generation of artists who have mastered the use of various media. The two artists exhibit large stone sculptures in the open air and animate the tower of the castle with spatial installations, small sculptures, photographically generated works, and object images.
