2021: The Master. Egger-Lienz and Defregger

After the Egger-Lienz collection was seen in major exhibitions at the Tyrolean State Museum and Lower Austria as well as in Vienna and Brussels, it will be followed by a new presentation stay in the homeland. Reconceptualized as a permanent exhibition until 2025, it will not be a static showcase, but in modular areas it will also offer regular visitors to the castle exciting facets of the life and work of the great Austrian painter.

2021, on the 100th anniversary of the death of the Tyrolean painting prince Franz von Defregger, the museum honors the East Tyrolean artist with a small selection of his works from its own collection, spiced up with exciting loans from private individuals and the Tyrolean State Museum. The portraitist, the popular subject of "Mädeln" as well as his well-known Tyrolean scenes will be presented to the public. And the person Defregger is not neglected - with exciting moving images from the early days of the film medium.
